Camping at Awenda

We decided to take advantage of the early nice weather and go camping at Awenda Provincial Park with some of our friends and Jax.  We arrived on Friday after work with the intention of staying until Sunday afternoon - unfortunately at about 8am on Sunday morning, it started pouring down with rain, so we made a quick getaway.  Having missed a whole day, we don't have many photos!

Apparently our 2-person Australian tent (in the middle) isn't the kind of 2-person tent that a Canadian would bring camping.  (Yes, the other tents were also for 2 people each.)  Note the forest around us!

Jax really enjoyed camping - he was off-leash for most of it, and had a great time.  He even managed to catch a chipmunk at one point - although he just stood there playing with it.  We took him to the dog beach, and he decided that it was a good opportunity to roll around in the sand like a crazy dog.

When he wasn't rolling around in the sand, he was standing in the water - but no deeper!  He might get wet!

That's it for the photos - the rainstorm on Sunday morning really put a dampener on the weekend (ha ha ha). We are hoping to go back sometime soon and make a more complete weekend of it all!
