Some of the arid Pacific coast climate, from out of the window of the bus. It reminds me of rural Australia - low withered grass and stunted trees - but there are always those mountains in the background that remind you where you are.
Not quite a natural scene, but this was looking down one of the main roads in a small town. It could be Cairns!
Some Costa Rican cows enjoying the view over Lake Arenal, which is a man-made dam lake that stretches nearly to the volcano. Beautiful view.
Looks great! I'm so glad you got away from the weather for a bit. After a while, it can start to feel like you will never be warm again! Not sure about Toronto; but I grew up in Cleveland (right across the lake) and it would start getting nice in May! Hang in there - you have a lovely summer coming up. My advice... book your holidays to warm places during the winter - it's just the break you need to keep yourself from total despair!
ReplyDeleteWe are well and truly heading into winter here in Sydney - we just got our heaters out of storage and it hasn't stopped raining in forever... We head back to the States in 3 weeks for a holiday though. We'll be in Cleveland for a few days so I will wave across the lake in your general direction!
